Easy Tips to Help Keep Your Family Hydrated & Enter the Universal Studios Sweepstakes from Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water

This article is sponsored by Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water. I received consideration from Linqia for my materials, tweets and posts. All opinions are 100% my own.

Recently I shared a piece of my grandmother's wisdom, and how everything in life has a season as part of the Hydration Movement from Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water. I'm happy to say that I have been making a more conscious effort to drink more water, and stay hydrated this summer! I've really been making more time for myself and making my health more of a priority, and this includes upping my water intake.

Luckily, drinking enough water isn't an area that I've had to be a shining example for my family. Buddy and Hubby love water and often have a glass sitting out on the counter that gets filled multiple times a day between meals. Buddy has always been a big water drinker, to the point that it was effecting night time potty training for a while!

And so the Hydration Movement from Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water continues! Water is vital for maintaining body functions and is essential for health. Do we really need this reminder? Yes, yes we do. Because most of us still don't get enough water each day!

Hydration Tips for the Whole Family
  • Carry a water bottle for easy access when you are at work or running errands.
  • Choose water instead of sugar-sweetened beverages. This tip can also help with calorie intake management. Substituting water for one 20-ounce sugar-sweetened soda will save you about 240 calories.
  • Choose water instead of other beverages when eating out.
  • Give your water a little pizzazz by adding a wedge of a fresh lime or lemon, or lemon essential oil. This may improve the taste, and you just might drink more water than you usually do.

I've been trying to drink 64 oz water daily- it's harder than it seems! And I love saving money at restaurants by just ordering water :)

Just entered contest thanks. I go thru water filters monthly living in south Florida and running 3 miles daily outdoors. I try to drink water throughout the day, but when I get back from a run I drink easily 40 Oz in a couple minutes

These are great tips - thank you! I usually need water really really cold, so we freeze water bottles and bring them in a cooler. By the time we need water in the heat, they are ice cold.

I have noticed that if I will keep water readily available, glasses sitting out for everyone, they will at least sip on it. Also, I try not to purchase soft drinks and sugary juices for home - if it isn't here they will drink water. If a soft drink or juice is a must, then it is a special treat to go out and get it. Also, when traveling in the car, everyone has their own special, personalized bottle for water only.

What great tips. I always have a huge container of water wherever I'm at. My daughter is terrible about drinking water. I will be passing these tips onto her.

My family really likes flavored beverages, so we will use the MIA flavor enhancers to get them to drink more water.

I always make sure that I have a full reusable water bottle for my kids and one for myself!

These are great tips. I have a hard time remembering to drink enough water; I find that if I start with a glass of water soon after I get up and then keep water at hand throughout the day, it helps.
