(Closed) BobbleRoos Review and Giveaway Ends 3/12

Founded in 2003 by Renee Sirulnik, BobbleRoos is a mom-owned business that started by selling baby blankets. As friends began to buzz about Renee's blankets and how they preferred hers over designer blankets they had, Renee knew she was on to something great! BobbleRoos has really flourished since then and has become a successful business with customers worldwide. All products are also made in the USA! In addition to their original baby blankets, you can now find great baby/child gifts at BobbleRoos including toddler pillows, youth pillows, no-slip playard sheets, crib sheets, nap mat sheets, waterproof matress pads, washlcoths, bips (security blankets), burp cloths, and larger supersize toddler blankets for older kids.

I first came across BobbleRoos in my tireless search for the perfect toddler pillow late last year. I was so thrilled to find Renee's store, her awesome pillows, and her exceptional customer service. At the time, I had to wash the current toddler pillow we had because Buddy woke up soaking wet one morning and he had saturated his pillow too (please tell me I'm not the only one!). I ended up ruining it (although I took great care in washing it) and poor Buddy went a couple weeks without his own little pillow. I didn't want to get same one from the large baby store down the street. Not only was that old pillow really small (Buddy was rolling off it constantly at night), but it didn't hold it's shape either!! BobbleRoos pillows are larger, made of great quality, and stay nice despite the abuse of a toddler. :)

BobbleRoos sent me a Toddler Pillow/Blanket Set in the Transport Blue flannel print to review!

Budddy LOVES his new pillow and blanket! I can't even begin to describe how nice it is to have him be able to cover himself up without my help. No little feet sticking out because the Supersize Toddler Blanket is REALLY big! At 60"x44", it's a size that will grow with your child. These blankets are usually single-sided, but you can inquire about getting a double-sided blanket like I received for Buddy. He is fascinated with all the transportation vehicles on his new favorite blanket! Overall, this blanket is just beautiful and has washed nicely. So far in 3 washes, the flannel shows no signs of piling, and has retained it's vibrant blue color.

Say cheese! Munchin' on some raisins and cuddling up with his new pillow and blanket. :)

The matching pillow and pillowcase we received are just as great! Their Toddler Pillows are 12"x16" and are approximately 3" thick. Toddlers should have a pillow that is the right proportion to their small size, and BobbleRoos has taken great care in ensuring their pillow size is age appropriate.  You have the option of purchasing just the pillow insert, a Toddler Pillow Set, or just a pillowcase if you want extra. These would also be great as an adult travel pillow, or a little pillow for the kiddos on long car trips too. Need a larger pillow for an older child? They have a Youth Pillow too that measures 16"x20"!

There are lots of fabrics to choose from including flannel, percale cotton, and satin fabrics in a variety of beautiful patterns. I even just spotted a few organic fabrics! For an additional fee, you can even get custom personalization/embroidery on most products. What a fantastic baby gift or a fun gift for an older child. Be sure to check out the great Gift Ideas that make shopping for someone else EASY!

(Closed) Crazy Dog T-Shirts Review/Costume Squad T-Shirt Giveaway Ends 3/9

With St. Patricks Day coming up soon, I figured this should be the year I prepare ahead of time and get something green to wear! Too many years I've risked getting pinched by complete strangers, and somehow I've escaped such torment (that was supposed to be funny!). Crazy Dog T-Shirts has an awesome selection to choose from and prides itself on being the number one source online for great T-Shirts that set you apart from the crowd.

Out of all the festive T-Shirts they carry in the Saint Patricks Day T-Shirts section, the Women's Leprechaun T-Shirt had my name written all over it! Or at least "Leprechaun Protection League" as you can partially see below. Isn't it cute?

So, now that you all know what I look like...let me tell you more about the T-Shirt! First off, the color is nice and bright. After washing, I hung the shirt to dry because I was worried it would shrink, but luckily it didn't. See how snug the fit is? I wish the fit was mentioned in the description of the shirt. While it fits well now, I can't say I won't accidentally dry it on high heat next time and end up having to give it to my kid sister. I probably would have sized up if I knew to expect such a snug fit. However, the material is of good quality, and is super soft too.

Price: Their T-Shirts are reasonably priced and average around $16.99 each. They also select 3 Daily Deal Tees that are changed a few times a week and are only $6.99 each!

The Verdict: CrazyDogTShirts.com is great source for fun T-Shirts for every occasion. You should check out their selection of their Most Popular T-Shirts!

 Win it!
CostumeSquad.com (a sister site of Crazy Dog T-Shirts) has agreed to send one The Reynolds Mom reader the T-Shirt of their choice valued up to $16.99!
Winners cannot have received a promotional item within the past 90 days, or own a review/giveaway blog of their own.

Wordless Wednesday 2/23

Welcome to...The Reynolds Household...where mismatched pajamas are always cool, and mom uses brown organic rice for playtime! Well, that is all I had in the cupboard so that's what we used to make our own Tot Tray full of fun. :) Buddy had THE-BEST-TIME-EVER with the rice and his trucks and it kept him occupied for almost an hour! I'm so glad I ran across this idea over at And Then There Were 4.... I will be raiding my cupboards and visiting our local craft store to make up some other fun Tot Trays very soon!

Nacho Mama Tees Review

When I was given the opportunity to choose a T-Shirt to review from Nacho Mama Tees, I already knew exactly what I wanted! In this house, we enjoy watching The Office TV show. The humor now continues when the TV turns off! So, I chose the Dunder Mifflin T-Shirt for my Hubby from the Funny T-Shirts section.

I don't think my Hubby realized I took a photo when he decided to flex.
Naturally, I decided I liked this photo the best. :)

The T-Shirt is made of 100% pre-shunk cotton and features a distressed-style print. It has held up nicely through several washes so far, and has really held it's shape too. They also carry a Women's Dunder Mifflin T-Shirt which features an aqua blue color and a non-distressed logo!

Price: Their T-Shirts are a great value and average around $16.99 each. They also select 3 Daily Deal Tees, in association with their sister company Crazy Dog T-Shirts, that are changed a few times a week and are priced at only $6.99 each! You can't beat a deal like that!

The Verdict: NachoMamaTees.com has a variety of Cool T-Shirts for everyone. Next time you're looking for a unique T-Shirt, be sure to check them out!

(Closed) Bummas Review and Giveaway Ends 3/5

I recently had the opportunity to review Bummas in The Wild Ones set of colors. Bummas are cloth wipes that were originally created to dry off the excess wetness that disposable or cloth wipes leave behind before putting on a fresh diaper. Each cloth is made of 100% Cotton Woven Velour Terry Cloth. They are made of a single layer of material measuring 5" x 7" and each cloth is serged on the edges in bright, fun colors. Bummas wash nicely and don't pill, shrink, or fade as their website states. They come in a bunch of fun colors too! I like that the material is milled here is the USA, and they are assembled here is the USA also. I LOVE supporting companies and products that are made right here in our own country.

All too often I find that Buddy's bottom is too wet from wet wipes to put on a new diaper. We often resort to letting him run around without a diaper for a minute to avoid diaper rash and skin irritation. It's seems to work okay and Buddy thinks it's hilarious, but we have had the occasional accident by doing this. Since receiving Bummas, I have found that they do an excellent job at getting the bottom area dry with just a few pats from the velour side of the cloth. I found the velour side to be very soft when dry, and the terry cloth side to be a little more rough against the skin. Then they are easily folded up into the dirty cloth diaper and put in the wetbag until wash day (unless he's in disposable which means I throw just the Bummas wipe into the wetbag).

I already use cloth wipes to clean up Buddy's face and hands after meals. I have set a few Bummas cloths aside to test them out for this too. I found that Bummas cloths seem to loose there softness on the velour side when wet, so both sides were a little rough on the skin for this. I also had a hard time keeping the Bummas cloth in my hand while cleaning him up. Below is a size comparison to another brand of cloth wipes I currently use to accomplish this task. Having a larger cloth that drapes over the hand slightly when the palm is up, helps the cloth stay on the hand and clean up is a lot easier. I found that Bummas are not the first cloth wipe I reach for in this situation.

Size Comparison: Bummas (5" x 7") on top of a Play All Day Hemp Fleece wipe (9.5" x 9.5")

While I have not actually used Bummas for wet wiping a dirty bottom, I would anticipate they'd get the job done. I just can't get myself to convert from disposable wipes to cloth wipes yet. I did however place the stack of Bummas into an empty disposable wipes container and they do fit perfectly for storing if you want to pre-soak them in water or a wipes solution.

Bummas also recommends placing a dry Bummas cloth on your child's parts (for a boy) to avoid getting soaked if you aren't fast enough to catch an unexpected stream. Apparently one Bummas cloth will soak up an entire pee!

Price: Although they should last through your child's diapering years, they are a bit expensive at about $16.99 per package of 10 cloths. You would probably want to get a few packages so you aren't having to wash everyday. This would definitely depend on whether you are using them to just pat dry, as a wet cloth wipe for diapering, or as a clean-up cloth after meals (or all 3!).

The Verdict: Bummas are an eco-friendly, bright and happy alternative to disposable baby wipes. They certainly get the job done, and have a few different uses. I will continue to use to pat my son's bottom dry with them (the velour is really soft when dry!), but will not change what we are already using for mealtime clean up.

Buy it!
Bummas are available for purchase at Bummas.com for $16.99, or at various retailers that can be found here.

(Closed) Rudi's Organic Bakery Review and Giveaway Ends 3/3

Rudi's Organic Bakery generously sent me two loaves of their delicious breads to review. I found both loaves to be very moist, soft and full of texture and quality. The aroma is sweet, the flavor is wonderful, and both the Honey Sweet Whole Wheat and 14 Grain breads are great for lunch sandwiches, toast, and tasty grilled cheese.

For 34 years, Rudi's has been making baking their breads in small batches. They focus on bringing you whole ingredients, and bread that is healthy and delicious for you and your family. A few "Rudi-isms" really sum up what this great company is all about!

My favorite "Rudi-ism" of Rudi's Organic Bakery is the following...

Because the best stuff in life is free. Free of artificial chemicals, preservatives, and dangerous pesticides.

Just straight natural and organic ingredients that certainly make me happy!

I regularly enjoy toast with jam in the morning, so I figured this was a great way to test out "organic" bread and to compare it to the non-organic wheat or whole grain bread we usually buy. It turned out to be delicious! For some reason I expected the opposite. I mean, don't all the crazy ingredients that you can't pronounce make non-organic breads taste better than organic, REAL bread? (major sarcasm!) I already know it's better for my family, I was just NOT expecting it to taste better than "regular" bread too! Needless to say, I was surprised with my morning toast, and went back for a second piece. :)

The Verdict! Considering the fact that we buy organic produce, meat and organic milk for Buddy, it's only natural that we go with organic bread too. Rudi's Organic Bakery has a great selection of chemical, preservative, and pesticide free breads that make me smile. :)

Buy it!
Rudi's Organic Bakery has a large selection of breads, buns, rolls, tortillas, wraps, bagels, and english muffins. Many of these can be purchased at local retailers near you.

 Win it!
Rudi's Organic Bakery has generously agreed to send one The Reynolds Mom reader 2 loaves of their organic bread (bread varieties to be chosen by sponsor)!

(Closed) Peeled Snacks Review and Giveaway Ends 2/27

Looking for a healthy alternative to salty snacks or snacks with ingredients you can't pronounce? Check out Peeled Snacks and feel great about your afternoon snack again! Peeled Snacks is an organic dried fruit and nut company that strives to bring you only fresh and natural snacks. In addition to the fact that Peeled Snacks uses only organic fruit, that IS the only thing you will find on the ingredients list. JUST fruit and nothing else. No added sugar or preservatives. You can't go wrong with that!

I was sent their NEW Organic Fruit Pouch Sampler which included some of their Fruit Snacks, and their NEW Fruit Mixes. Below are just 2 of the pouches I received.
Paradise Found (organic mango, pineapple & banana) and Raisin Expectations (organic thompson and flame raisins)

Buddy is a huge fan of raisins, and asks for them almost every day. I was really excited to give him the raisins from the Raisin Expectations pouch instead of the ones that get stale in those little boxes you usually find at the grocery store. He kept giving me his bowl and asking for more! I'm pretty sure he liked them! :)

I am really impressed with how moist the dried fruit is in each snack pouch and I love that all the fruit is organic. The raisins are especially moist and tasty. Each pouch I received has 2-6 servings, depending on the pouch. I also like that each pouch is resealable and can be saved for later without sacrificing that fresh taste. With all the varieties of dried fruit they offer, there is certainly something for everyone. For me, I learned I'm not a fan of the much-ado-about-Mango, but I LOVE their pine-4-Pineapple, and Banan-a-peel. Aren't the names of their snacks so darn cute?!

You're going to love this......Peeled Snacks are now available Starbucks! Next time you go for your morning coffee at your local Starbucks, be sure to grab a single-serving fruit picks bag of Peeled Snacks for your purse.

Be sure to follow Peeled Snacks on Facebook and Twitter so you don't miss out on the giveaways they frequently hold. Also, sign up for their newsletter at the bottom of their homepage and receive FREE SHIPPING on your online order!!

The Verdict! Peeled Snacks are a yummy, natural and organic alternative to all the junk not-so-healthy choices we all make every single day.

Buy it!
Peeled Snacks can be purchased online at peeledsnacks.com, at your local Starbucks, or at other locations found by using their store locator.

Win it!

(Closed) Little One Books Review/Giveaway Ends 2/23

I've found a gem among online children's book stores to share with you! With a unique approach and ease to finding age appropriate books, music, and videos for young children, Little One Books is in a league of its own. Started by Joan McCoy and Barney Cohen, who saw a need in the area children's media, Little One Books takes the guesswork out of what to buy. Just like myself, they were overwhelmed with the amount of products out there for young children. By focusing on such a specific age range, they are able to ensure that each book they carry is hand-picked and won't be "too young" or "too old" for your child. Here's a tidbit from their website...

We carry only the best in children's books, music, and videos from birth through age five. All our products have been personally chosen and review by our team. With the help of child development professionals, we have matched each product to the youngest appropriate age. We will provide you with excellent customer service, and we are always interested in your feedback. We hope you enjoy shopping with us.

-Joan and Barney

Upon learning I could choose any book from Little One Books to review, I headed straight for one about going to bed. There has always been a recurring issue for Buddy....SLEEP! We've tried so many methods to get him to calm down before bed, fall asleep faster, sleep by himself........the list goes on. It seems this was not meant to be easy with this child! So, any tool that will aid in this daily struggle is welcomed in this house.

First, I easily narrowed down the books by age group. After choosing the 2 year-old range, I browsed through. Then, Song of Night: It's Time to Go to Bed came up! I was sold! I already knew that this book would be age appropriate for my son. Little One Books already did the research for me and put it in a category specific to my son's age group! How awesome is that?

Song of Night: It's Time to Go to Bed  was written by Katherine Riley Nakamura, and illustrated by Linnea Riley. I am super impressed with how spot on Little One Books is with this book's age group. Short, simple sentences. Easy to understand, and perfect for a 2 year-old! Each page is beautifully illustrated with a different type of animal and scene. The theme of going to bed was reiterated on each page. The little bunny needs to get ready for bedtime just like the duckling, mouse, dog, cat, skunk, bear, and squirrel. The book goes through taking a bath, brushing teeth, singing, reading, a back rub and humming as the animals get ready for bed. It's so cute!

With a little rhyming of words along the way, Buddy was mesmorized and kept asking "What's this!?" as every page turned. I'm hoping soon that he'll start to say "Me too!," and go to bed just as easy as those animals in the book!

The Verdict! Overall, I am very impressed with this high-quality book and would definitely recommend it to every parent. As for Little One Books, I love their dedication to finding the best products for children. They have an amazing selection of wonderful products you should check out for yourself!
