We're kicking off the Monthly Subscription Boxes series with KLUTCHclub, a brand new monthly subscription service that just launched in April. Each month you'll receive an expert-curated box full of health, wellness, and fitness goodies from new brands and trusted favorites to help you stay well using more a holistic approach. Geared towards women (KLUTCHmen is in the works), you can expect healthy foods, drinks, workouts, apparel, skincare, supplements and more in your KLUTCHbox each month. And with a value of $50+ in each box for only $18 (or less), I think it would be hard to say you didn't enjoy what they have to offer.
What's Inside?
I received their very first launch box with the theme of "Spring Clean Your Body".
I received their very first launch box with the theme of "Spring Clean Your Body".
- Kristin McGee's Power Yoga DVD - Although I've never actually tried yoga (except for maybe once in highschool?), I'll keep this DVD around for when I can actually try it out for real and don't have such a full schedule.
- YogaHyde.com - An exclusive $25 gift card towards organic yoga clothes. There is nothing entirely free with this gift card, and the cheapest item is a pair of Hot Shorts for $45. Not really my cup of tea but this is awesome for a yoga lover.
- HYDRIVE Energy Drink Mix - This is a new energy drink mix that boasts zero calories. I didn't try it and won't for reasons I'll cover near the end of my review.
- ZICO Pure Premium Coconut Water - I've been meaning to take the plunge and try coconut water as a beverage, but haven't until now. I've been missing out! As a coconut lover, this is delicious, satisfying, and a great healthful alternative to just plain water.
- Tea Forte - A few samples of organic teas which help your appearance with plant-based antioxidants. As a new tea drinker, I enjoyed trying this brand to see what they offer. I love that these are Certified Organic and Fair Trade, and ready to steep. They taste great too!
- KIND Bar - The Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate bar is so delicious! I've tried KIND bars in the past, but not this variety. It's packed with natural ingredients and good-for-you nutrients that makes it a bit guilt-free to munch on such a delicious treat.
- Enjoy Life Foods - Gluten and allergy free snacks that are quite tasty! The Plentils are a new product from Enjoy Life, and are a crunchy chip made from Lentils. Buddy enjoyed sampling these with me! The No Nuts! Seed and Fruit Mix is a great trail mix type of snack that I definitely want to buy in the future.
- Barlean's Organic Oils - The Flax Oil I received is totally a full-sized product! Barlean's is a respected organic brand that I haven't tried until now. Packs with essential Omega-3 fatty acids, this is an excellent supplement to use daily. Although I don't think I could stomach by itself (I actually didn't try), I have been adding it to my smoothies and you can't even tell!
- Shea Terra Organics - I received a little sample of the Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Wash. This herbal wash was an awesome addition to the box. I only wish it was a larger size!
The generous amount of full-size products in the box is definitely a huge advantage over many subscriptions services out there. I also like the unique aspect of how it covers various aspects of living a healthy lifestyle with a workout DVD, all-natural coconut water, organic flax oil and relatively healthy snacks. It's well-rounded and well thought out. I do enjoy organic and natural products quite a bit (okay, A LOT), and for the most part, a lot these are products I've never tried before but have wanted to.
This is one of the very few monthly subscription service I've found so far that actually shows you next month's box online, so essentially you could cancel your subscription if it's clearly something you have no interest in. However, I did enjoy this box and concept, and really trust they are seeking out new brands and companies that are relevant to KLUTCHclub's vision for their boxes. Overall I think the April box is a fantastic value at just $18 and hopefully future boxes deliver the same "wow" factor in that respect.
The only negative I feel about the box I received (don't get me wrong, the whole KLUTCHclub concept is great) is that the HYDRIVE Energy dink mix doesn't belong. Not only does it have an artificial sweetener called sucralose (the same ingredient in Splenda), but it also contains artificial red food dye that I personally try to stay away from. It also contains caffeine. Maybe this wasn't the best choice for a sample in a KLUTCHclub box, but I think everything else fit very well with the healthy-lifestyle theme KLUTCHclub is trying to portray. Overall I really enjoyed my KLUTCHclub box.

Just received my first box. 3 of the best copons were already expired. I contacted the company twice and they will not get back to me. Without these, the box is not worth the $18.
