Along with this awesome contest, I'd love to share with you an awesome product I had the opportunity to review from Lakeshore Learning. We received the Magnetic Counting Maze for Buddy!

Kids build number recognition and practice counting…as they fine-tune motor skills with our fun magnetic maze! 13" x 14" hardwood board has 10 built-in “gumball machines” representing numbers 1-10…plus 55 colorful balls for children to count. Kids use the attached magnetic wand to move balls through the maze and drop them into each gumball machine—counting from 1 to 10 as they go! With a permanently attached, clear-view top to keep balls contained.

I love how educational and fun this product is. It fosters fine motor skills and concentration, and also continues to build number recognition and counting skills. The little balls behind the clear-view top are completely contained so a teaching session with this product goes pretty smooth and without too much fuss. The very sturdy wood it nice and thick, and there's even a spot for the magnetic "pen" to go, right under the clear-view top. The magnet is very strong and often times two balls will quickly attract to it right away. It's been fun watching Buddy figure out how to deal with that!
Buddy knows all his numbers and can count past 10. But when I ask how many there is of something, he counts really fast and usually much higher than what is actually there while pointing wildly at the objects. It might be adorably cute and a bit funny, but I've been searching for a way to get the skill of counting a set of objects under control! Because there's no mess at all with the Magnetic Counting Maze, I love how easy it is for me to teach Buddy without him going crazy with tangible objects everywhere. No set-up, no clean up required, no loosing pieces, no preparation, would be great for traveling, and is made of high quality materials that can put up with lots of use from busy kiddos. I think this is a product that every mom dreams about owning!! :)
