One of my favorite holiday memories is the years we had to put our Christmas tree in the playpen when our children were small. Kept them safe!

My favorite holiday memory is from when I was a child. I was the youngest of 6 and there was 18 years between me and the oldest. By the time I was a pre-teen we always had a full house from family and new wives and girlfriends in the house as well as the first of my parent's grandchildren. I remember a year when there were so many wrapped presents they covered the entire livingroom floor.

For years we went to Philly PA to celebrate Christmas with family. I will cherish those memories with my family that I hardly ever get to see!

My favorite memory is going up in the mountains to hunt for the perfect Christmas tree. We all loaded up and spent the day looking and chopping the family tree.

My favorite Christmas memories are of the ones we got to spend in NV, away from our crazy CA extended families. They were so calm and peaceful, unrushed and uncriticized. That's how Christmas is supposed to be. If only we could go back.

I remember one Christmas I was peeping trying to see Santa before he was supposed to be there like he always came to our Christmas Dinner Party and I saw him drinking a beer in the garage. That was a crazy story for many years between us young cousins!!

Our first Christmas on our own we had a tiny tree I had scrounged from the dumpster outside our apt. complex. I put it up on boxes and decorated it with homemade ornaments and lights I'd found the same day. It was beautiful.

Favorite Christmas memory was a few Christmas ago when I was moving back home with my two kids to live with my dad because my hubby was being deployed. The Navy wouldn't pay for it because he wasn't going to be deployment long enough for them to pay for the move so we had to put everything in storage. We moved from CA to MI. We didn't have any extra money at all and I wasn't sure what we would do for a present for the oldest (the youngest wouldn't know). I won an American Girl doll, it was my daughters only request and it was the year the doll retired. I actually prayed about winning the doll. My daughter was told last year about Santa... a few seconds later she told me "Thank you for the Felicity doll." Awe. Then I had to tell her the story.
