Diggin Active has been offering fun sports toys to help kids get active since 2006. Through innovative and uniquely designed games and toys like JoustTag, Jumpsmart and lots more, Diggin is realizing their mission of encouraging active, healthy lifestyles. Their product line continues to expand and now includes a wonderful line of portable, wooden BoxSets for creative play time. Joining the line of Planes and Cars BoxSets are two newly released BoxSets that are sure to really encourage your child's imagination to sore. Check them out!
The NEW BoxSets Castle and Doll House are sure to intrigue the imagination of every little boy and girl, and keep them occupied for hours (like they do for Buddy!). I'm really excited that the girly girls get in on the fun with the new BoxSet Doll House! Since I don't have a little girl for the Doll House Boxset, I received the new BoxSet Castle and their classic BoxSet Cars to review.
The BoxSet Castle opens fully on just one side to reveal the contents, although the little drawbridge does open on the other side too. It stays closed with a magnet so it won't randomly drop down when you don't want it to. This set includes the castle box, castle tower, 2 castle walls, stairway, catapult, 2 red knights, princess and dragon. It's been so fun to see Buddy's imagination run wild with something other than a bunch of cars (those are his favorite of course). Buddy has so much fun with the catapult especially which he uses to launch jelly beans through the air! I also love the painted details of the castle on this one!
The BoxSet Cars opens fully on both sides. Road pieces join together to create an oval and two pieces connect together to create a ramp to the second level in the box which has parking spaces just like the lower level. This set includes the box, 8 road pieces, 2 ramp pieces, 10 plastic connectors and 3 vehicles. This is definitely Buddy's favorite set and I've watched him play with it for an hour at a time, almost every day since we received it. That's really no surprise to me since I know he's pretty obsessed with cars at this age, but it's great to see his imagination create stories and scenarios with his new play set! My only concern is with the small plastic connectors
to connect the road pieces. They are quite small so if you have babies
in the house this would not be ideal. It would be nice to see the roads
designed with built-in connectors in the future. However, I love this set regardless and Buddy is having so much fun with it.
Just check out all the pieces that fit inside these Boxsets! This is the most appealing feature for me. They're compact, contained, and easily transported to Grandma's house or anywhere else in a little box. And there's no loosing the container since it's part of the playing! I'm a container person and every set of blocks, cars, and legos etc all have a little container or bin in Buddy's room. These BoxSets can sit on his table without looking messy or can easily be stashed away in a closet at a moment's notice. Every mom can certainly appreciate that!
Overall I'm thrilled with Diggin's BoxSets! They are beautifully crafted, incredibly sturdy, detailed, and work well for a wide range of ages starting at just 3 years old. They are definitely built to last! I love how these encourage open-ended play and how easy they are for Buddy to put away on his own. In fact, I think he actually likes putting all the pieces back in the boxes when he's done! Although made of wood, they aren't too heavy for toddlers to carry and put away by themselves, and they also aren't too difficult to put together either. Thinking about Christmas yet? It's not too early to get a head start! These BoxSets are definitely something I recommend putting on your list this year.

I think my kids would love the castle boxset and the airplane boxset!
Hey! This give away looks great. My two year old, Ronnie, loves playing with his cars. Next to his books they're his favorite toys (^_^) So the boxed car set looks really sweet.
I also wanted to say there are a lot of blogs out there that are just 'thrown together' and they look tacky and half a**ed. I just wanted to say your blog isn't like that at all. It's ascetically pleasing and the layout is really pretty. (you probably already know all this) but your blog is really nice and keep up the great work. :)
I like the wooden balance bike the most. I was looking for the castle set but I did not see it on their site.
