(Closed) Tropical Traditions: Citrus-Mint Skin Exfoliator Review and Giveaway Ends 9/14

Tropical Traditions continues to amaze me with their natural line of products. From edibles to cleaners and everything in between, I promise you will enjoy this company and their products as much as I am now! I've reviewed the Certified Organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil and the Powdered Dish Detergent, and now I'm excited to share about the Citrus-Mint Skin Exfoliator I received.

Organic Skin Exfoliators from Tropical Traditions are 100% natural, packed with rich ingredients and have nothing artificial whatsoever. Sea salt is the exfoliating part of this product, and the rest is a bunch of organic oils and organic essential oils for scent. Super duper natural and oh-so-good for your skin! The Organic Virgin Palm Oil has highly concentrated amounts of vitamin E and natural carotenes. Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is full of antioxidants and is fast becoming a more desired ingredient in skincare products. There are no alcohols, artificial fragrances, petroleum, preservatives, or parabens. You can even buy an unscented version that has only 5 ingredients! The Lavender and Citrus-Mint just have added essential oils.

You can certainly use this product on any rough skin patches you have, on your elbows, knees, and even your feet. I've used the skin exfoliator on several areas of my skin, and have loved the results every time.  Here's what I've tried in the last week...

On my face! I've applied the exfoliator and gently scrubbed my face. Obviously the sea salt is quite abrasive, so I took extra care in applying and scrubbing it gently on my face. But let me tell you. Oh.My.Gosh. I'm IN LOVE with this product! I've come to terms with my rough, black-head prone, dry-yet-greasy-at-times complexion. By using this just 2-3 times per week, my skin is softer, more even-toned, moisturized, and completely rejuvenated. My pores appear smaller, and I have fewer black heads and skin issues. I've never had a skin mask or scrub with a similar result!

On my legs! Yes. I know you're thinking. WHAT? Why would you want a skin exfoliator on your legs? Well, my fair, sensitive skin gets so many ingrown hairs that are growing just under a tiny layer of skin. Anyway, the skin exfoliator took care of my problem, and was able to slough off enough dead, dry skin to gently expose the ingrown hairs so I could actually get a clean shave. I've been dealing with this issue for years so this is great!

On my hands! Super soft hands, here I come! I didn't realize just how neglected and rough my hands were until I used the skin exfoliator on them.
The Citrus-Mint scent that I chose is a fantastic fragrance. It smells almost like a lemon-minty gum. The color is bright yellow but on your skin you just see the sea salt. I was a little worried that the salt aspect of this product would cause a lot of dryness on my skin. I was especially worried about my face because it always feels tight and dry after washing with any product. The oils absorb into your skin really easily on your newly exfoliated skin. It's amazing! I do not have to apply a moisturizer after using this exfoliator! The oils actually make water bead up and roll off on any skin you use it on. It really gets in your skin and works some magic! I've never had such silky smooth skin without being super greasy. It's actually not greasy at all, but gives your skin a balanced, bright, shiny, healthy glow.

Price: $16.95 for a 4-ounce tub.

The Verdict: Wow. Multiple uses, and one excellent product for your skin. The skin exfoliator is packed with organic, highly concentrated nutrients for your skin!
It creates a youthful glow, and really sloughs off that layer of dead skin cells that is weighing down your skin. I really needed a good exfoliator to liven up my skin and end years of my simple rut of using just a bar soap or cleanser. Since this product is so natural and pure, there's no question for me about the safety of it. I love it, and my skin loves it too!
