(Closed) Mama-To-Be Gift Guide: Citrus Lane Review & Giveaway Ends 10/2

Are you ever stumped when it comes time to finding that perfect baby shower gift? Look no further! Citrus Lane is a really great concept that takes out all the guess work. They seek to introduce new parents to awesome baby products that are recommended by other experienced moms and dads. They do this by offering monthly boxes full of age-appropriate, hand-chosen baby products for your little one. You can buy a monthly subscription, or give the gift of a Deluxe Shower box or monthly subscription!
Citrus Lane was so kind in letting me and my pregnant sister-in-law check out their Deluxe Shower box! I knew what was going to be inside since it's listed on their site, but my sister-in-law had no idea! It was so fun to see her open it!

The following products are in the Deluxe Shower Box:
  • SwaddleDesigns Marquisette Swaddle Blanket
  • Pearhead Babyprints Tin
  • Green Sprouts Organic Cotton Mitts
  • Canopy Cards Baby Love Letter
  • Cloud B Sleep Sheep Rattle
  • Zoe Organics Mommy-to-be Bath Tea
  • $50 Minted Gift Card
This box included a pamphlet that describes each item, and why they were picked. I LOVE SwaddleDesigns products so the swaddle blanket is certainly something that is a fabulous choice for this box. I never did capture my son's baby feet as an imprint, so I love the idea behind including the Pearhead Babyprints Tin. It's something I never remembered to buy, and this one seems to be quite simple since it's clay and not plaster. The Cloud B Sleep Sheep Rattle is just darling, and is super fluffy! It's adds the perfect finishing touch to this box in my opinion.

I wasn't a big fan of the Canopy Cards Baby Love Letter only because I feel like you could buy just a plain card and have the same effect at a much lower price than buying a set of 10 for $27. The “You were worth the wait” sentiment on the card is certainly very meaningful to many parents though. The $50 Minted gift card, however, is amazing and will really help any new mom get out those baby announcements without spending a fortune!

Each box has a up to a $50 value worth of products, and yet costs only $25 a month (except for the Deluxe Shower box which is $35 if purchased alone as a gift). You can start your subscription with the Deluxe Shower box, or start at the month that pertains to your baby.
Starting Solids Month 5 box
What I love most about a concept like Citrus Lane, is that it's a great way to try new companies and products that you may have passed before. They also tend to be more healthy, natural, or organic which is very important to me. Since each box is a significant discount, you can "risk" trying out a new product and it's okay if it doesn't work out. At the same time, from what I've seen from Citrus Lane, you can trust you are receiving hand-picked, relevant, and useful products that are loved and trusted by parents already. As an avid lover of trying new products, I can tell you that I've tried many of the products and brands in their boxes before, and I think they've made some awesome choices.

The pregnant Mama-To-Be's perspective (my sister-in law!):
First off, this gift box covered a multitude of areas a new mom cares about. The Pearhead Babyprints kit is a perfectly creative way of maintaining a keepsake of your child from infancy. It is compact and comes with its own stand; this makes easy to keep around your home. There are very clear directions and all of the products are safe for baby.

Continuing on the sentimental theme, they also included a beautiful card from Canopy Cards. This little love note was written for your precious new baby. Mine said, “You were worth the wait” and indeed she was. This card offers a special way to tell your baby just how much you love them.

The final sentimental gift was a $50.00 gift card from Minted, this company’s products are high quality and beautiful. I loved being able to go online and order the perfect birth announcement.

Next, the Swaddle blanket was a wonderful, lightweight, great for on-the-go, practical addition to the box. The quality and durability seem great and the design is adorable!

Also in this amazing gift box was two sets of Organic mitts from Green Sprouts which come in handy when there little fingers wander. These mitts are organic which made me feel safe when putting these on my baby.

The final gifts included something sweet for both mom and baby. For mom, the Zoe Organics bath tea was perfect toward the end of my pregnancy when my body was aching. The smell was delicious and it was a good excuse to take a few minutes and rest (something I don't do often)! There was an amazing Cloud B Sheep rattle with some of the softest fur I’ve ever felt. The look and feel of this toy will be enjoyed by my baby for a long time I’m sure.

Price: Buy a monthly subscription box today for $25/month or buy an annual subscription for $250. You can also give the gift of just a Deluxe Shower Box for $35, or a 3-, 6-, or 12-month gift subscription. All boxes include free shipping!

The Verdict: I love this concept! It's a beautifully wrapped gift, ready to give to any new mom, with relevant products inside. What a fun gift!
