TRM's Christmas Gift Guide :: Organic Cotton Socks from Zkano! {Giveaway Ends 12/8} US/CAN

You might be thinking about giving socks to someone this Christmas, right?? As a sock lover, that's totally cool. But make sure they're organic, made in the USA, and full of style!

Zkano is lovely family-owned sock business right in Fort Payne, Alabama, which was once called "The Sock Capital of the World". Outsourcing is way too common nowadays, but Zkano keeps doing what they do best --- producing the best Certified Organic Cotton socks available according to NOP standards and spun at their own GOTS certified, family mill, Emi-G Knitting. They love what they do and it truly shows in their craftsmanship and passion for their socks.

Zkano is the first and only sock manufacturer to be certified with the MADE IN USA CERTIFIED® (USA-C®) Seal of Certification, which means 100% of the manufacturing process is guaranteed to be done in the USA. I love supporting made in the USA companies and products, and Zkano is definitely one that I believe has a bright future. You may remember my first review of Zkano, and yes, I still love them. In fact, my husband's favorite pair of socks are his Ridge "No Show", and they're actually one of my favorites also! On cold days they are a perfect compromise between bare feet and full-on slippers. Warm, cozy and cushy!
I was thrilled to open up my package from Zkano because they just came out with their new Combed Organic Cotton. I thought their last collection of fashion socks was wonderful, but the combed organic cotton feels softer than ever and has a higher thread count! Here you can see the Hazel- Contrast Knee Socks, Aspire Basic Crew, and the Betty - Dot Knee Socks that I received.
I giggled like a little school girl when I saw the "Betty" Dot Knee Socks in my package. I'm a polka dot girl and probably almost half of my colored socks are polka dots! These are 66% certified organic combed cotton, 30% nylon and 4% elastic and feature a purple sock with black polka dots. The combed organic cotton is noticeably more soft and luxurious feeling that just the organic cotton Zkano used before. I love it! They also seem to stretch more which helps them conform to the feet slightly better than last year's pairs. This also seems to help the sock and especially the toe seam area to stay fitted for optimal comfort. I don't know what else to say other than...these are beautiful socks!!
These are the "Hazel" Contrast Knee Socks which feature a charcoal, bright green and royal blue. They are more of a dressy trouser sock and feel a little finer than the "Betty". They are made of 66% certified organic combed cotton, 30% nylon and 4% elastic and come up nicely just below the knee. They feel just as great as the "Betty" with all the same fabulous improvements like the combed organic cotton and an excellent stretchy fit. I like the fun colors and how I can easily wear them with dressy pants and flats without having the colors look crazy underneath! The colors are in areas that only you will see which makes them very fun to wear.

The "Aspire" is a comfortable basic crew sock made from 4% spandex, 9% nylon and 87% certified organic cotton. These are great for men or women and they include the size right on top of the toe just in case you get a whole bunch of these and you and your hubby are different sizes (I'm a medium and hubby would be a large for instance). The white is a bright white, the toe seam is almost unnoticeable, and the heel is nice and deep so I don't feel like the socks are pulling at the heel. The inside is a super cozy terry and thick so they feel like your feet are wrapped in total comfort, which is my favorite!! This also contributes to the wonderful supportive feeling I get when I wear these, which is pretty similar to the Ridge "No Show" style they have too. Now that it's getting colder outside I prefer to wear the higher crew style with my sneakers.

In case you aren't convinced about Zkano yet, I'm sure you will love knowing that they maintain an industry low for waste at just 2%, all of which is recycled. Their socks are dyed using custom low-impact dyes instead of heavy metal dyes which are horribly unhealthy, and packaging is also kept to a minimum and is all generated and printed locally. If you could be envious about any company, it would be Zkano for being super responsible in all that they do.

This Christmas, give some beautiful fashion socks to the special women in your life and some comfy crew socks to your man with Zkano. You simply can't go wrong with socks, especially when they're organic and as utterly amazing as these!
