I love to organize Buddy's toys and books as much as possible. It helps me feel somewhat sane despite the constant messes that naturally occur with a toddler and it helps Buddy find what he wants to play with a lot easier too. When given the opportunity to choose a product at Magic Cabin, I knew I had quite a task! They have SO many amazing, imaginative products for children. I had a hard time settling for just one product, but decided to go with the Personalized Book Rack!

This book rack features 4 storage pockets for books (or whatever else ends up in there!). It's made of sturdy wood composite and the colored pockets are made of lightweight canvas. The bottom pocket has a spot for personalization too.

We are lacking storage space for books in our family room so this is a great way for us to encourage reading in every room. The assembled product is shown above, but comes to you un-assembled in a box. Everything was packaged very well, and nothing was damaged.

As you can see, Buddy wanted to help! He LOVES fixing and building everything so he had to get right in the middle of it all. It was lots of fun! Overall the assembly was pretty easy, and the directions were clear and simple. It just took a bit of strength to get each screw started on the side panels into the poles. We finally got it put together and added books!

The personalization is very well done, and is included in the price of the book rack. I feel that the price is a little steep considering the somewhat low quality wood used though. It's certainly not a flawless material, and there are plenty of areas on the trim where it looks dirty with dark marks, or just random marks in various places. It was definitely shipped like this, and was not anything to do with damage during shipment. It's just the quality of it. With wood composite you really can't expect too much I guess. The canvas is a very nice material though, and each color was sewn together very nicely to create each pocket during assembly.

Price: The Personalized Book Rack is $69.98 and comes in Pastel or Primary colors.

The Verdict: I really like Magic Cabin for it's unique, classic toys and different selection than most online toy stores. The book rack is nice overall, and it's great to have book covers facing outward so Buddy can easily choose a book to read. The price seems a little steep, but the personalization is a very fun included feature.
