About the Designer...
HI! My name is Tracy Olsen and my family and I live in Milton, DE. We have moved around quite a bit, and have the privilege to live in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate NY, the outskirts of Manhatten, and western PA (Go Steelers!). My husband and I have been married almost 22 years and we have two incredible kids! Tory, our son is 20 and he is a master woodworker and artisan. Our daughter, Jordan is 6'1" and a model, with a personality and soul as beautiful as her physical form. We have two German Shepherds and 2 cats, and our house is filled with love:-) We are of Scandinavian descent (mostly Norwegian), and I taught myself how to do Norwegian painting (rosemaling) when I was expecting our son; and a dear friend taught me to crochet a few years later. I began crocheting dolls a few years ago when I needed a unique baby shower gift. It was such a hit at the shower that I began receiving orders and expanding ideas from basic dolls to school mascot cheerleaders, NFL and NHL cheerleaders, and I've even made dolls for the Florida Panthers NHL dancers. I have recently been making dolls for a Royal Family Kids Camp that my uncle runs in NY for severely abused children. What an honor! The Lord has blessed us with so many awesome opportunities, and we are so thankful to be able to share what we do and meet many wonderful people!

Review...
Need a really unique gift? Check out Olsen Trademark Crafts for lots of great finds including crocheted dolls, bears and lions! How about a crocheted doll for your sports fanatic? Tracy also has a wide variety of Norwegian rosemaled decor for a little Eurpopean flare in your home.

Tracy very generously sent me TWO crocheted dolls to review for her! I received the Best Buddy boy doll, and girl doll that can be recreated using the Create-Your-Own doll listing. Aren't they so cute!?

Best Buddy is about 16 inches tall, and the girl is 14 inches tall. They are completely hand crocheted and stuffed with polyfil. Each doll can be customized with different colors, buttons, features or sports teams. They're a floppy style, and don't freely sit unless propped against something behind them. Since these are 100% customizable, no two are alike and yours will be unique. These are a great gift, and as Tracy suggests, would be all the rage at baby showers!
I'm amazed at the incredible detail of each doll and can't say enough about the quality. Best Buddy has features overalls, sporty buttons, some shaggy hair and a cool cap. The bill on the cap even flips out in a stylish manner. He's held up really well to be squished and poked at by my toddler too! The girl features striped leggings, a scallop-edged skirt, a cute ABC button and some amazingly full hair! I think her hair is my favorite part. There's just so much of it and yet it was made so clean so it won't tangle. The black crocheted eyes and smile complete the look of each doll, making them warm and inviting in any child's (or adult's) room!

Here are a few more of Tracy's crocheted dolls/animals! I think her animals are darling and she should consider making more kinds. I'd also love to see a girl doll with ruffled sleeves and maryjanes, or a boy doll with a collar and sporty shoes. The possibilities are endless, and I know Tracy could probably do it! She's extremely talented with her dolls, but that's not all. She also crochets baby sweaters, bears, and lions. Be sure to check out all her crocheted creations!

Tracy's shop also includes lots of items that use the rosemaling painting style or are Norwegian influenced to create some really fun home decor. Here are just a couple things she has available...
