About the Designer...
Hi!  My name is Genevieve and I’m the owner/crafter behind LuBeth Designs on Etsy.  I have been married to the sweetest guy ever, Paul, for 14 years and together we have 3 great kids.  Lauren is 13, Noah is 11 and Bethany is 7.  We make our home in northeastern Ohio.  I’ve been crafting for years.  I really enjoy making things for my house, my kids, my friends, my family…it’s almost like therapy…using creativity helps me to take a deep breath & step back from things for a little while & when I’m done I have something completed AND (hopefully) pretty!  I’ve been specifically making jewelry for family and friends for about five years, but didn’t decide to begin selling it until earlier this year.  I have some great encouraging friends who have helped get my little business off the ground locally and it has been a gratifying experience.  The next logical step seemed to be to open an Etsy shop.  Right now I carry rolled fabric rosette necklaces, beaded watchbands & watch faces and necklaces featuring colorful flower cabochons.  I’d love to continue adding pretty things as time goes on!  Living in northeastern Ohio means that we see lots of chilly gray days & not a whole lot of sun for much of the year.  Making jewelry that brings brightness & color into people’s lives has become very satisfying for me & helps to remind me that brighter days are on their way!

LuBeth Designs is a beautiful Etsy shop. Genevieve makes gorgeous feminine jewelry and specializes in hand rolled posies and rosiebuds for a truly unique piece in your jewelry collection.

I received this beautiful Grass Posie Necklace. It features 6 hand rolled kona cotton roses in various sizes. The roses are backed with felt to help with sturdiness and to keep it's rounded shape when it hangs. The gunmetal chain with a lobster clasp closure is the perfect length, and sits at a great spot on your chest. It's very lightweight, and comfortable to wear.

I love the rustic, shabby feel of each rose, and how the unfinished cotton fabric causes threads to fray and just pop out in each direction. This lets you wear this with casual jeans and a tee, or also dress it up with a nice top or dress for a night on the town. The green color is just like a perfectly manicured lawn. I love it! I've received many remarks and compliments when wearing this necklace. It's certainly a unique style, and not one that is commonly worn or found in stores!

One thing I did notice was the "U" shape of the necklace almost wants to curve back inward at the top instead of bowing more naturally outward at the neck. This shape comes from the felt backing but I was able to gently bend mine out a little more so it felt a bit more natural. It's not a big deal or really a problem, just more about how I would prefer mine to be shaped.
