(Closed) Kim & Scott's Gourmet Pretzels Review and Giveaway Ends 5/19

I was so excited to recently be asked to review Kim & Scott's Gourmet Stuffed Pretzels! Made of all natural, premium ingredients, and packed with whole grains, these pretzels are the real deal. They are also twisted by hand, baked from scratch and contain no preservatives, trans fats, or hydrogenated oils.

I was sent 6 stuffed varieties to review. All of them are surprisingly small (3.5 oz each), and don't look as large as they do on the package. However, they are an appropriate portion for one person unlike so many other foods! I microwaved them all since I prefer a softer pretzel. You can also put them in the oven for a crispier pretzel. 

Spinach Feta Pretzel

Grilled Cheese: This was the first one I tasted from Kim & Scott's, EVER. And let me tell you...I am loving these pretzels already! The aroma is that classic smell when you walk by a pretzel shop at the mall. Oh YUM! It turns out each flavor with regular pretzel dough had that distinct "soft pretzel" aroma! The cheese was full of flavor, and almost a bit too salty. Looking at the Nutrition Facts, I learned that just one pretzel of this flavor has 1/3 your daily value of salt. For such a small pretzel, YIKES!

Cheddar Jalapeno: Spicy!! Wow, I usually can't handle too much spiciness but this is pretty good. This pretzel is stuffed and topped with cheese and jalapenos. Just like the Grilled Cheese pretzel, the salt content is high. Coincidentally the cheese is very rich, and the overall flavor of this pretzel is really great! :)

Pizza Pretzel: Tasted just like a piece of cheese pizza. Made with real mozzarella cheese and homemade sauce, Buddy LOVED it!

Spinach Feta: Stuffed with chopped spinach and crumbled feta cheese, this one had a little less flavor than others, but was still great. This flavor is a nice mild snack with a "healthier" feeling.

Chocolate Crumb: This one honestly looked better than it tasted. While I found it to be stuffed with lots of rich chocolate fudge like the box says, the chocolate crumb topping adds nothing to the pretzel's taste. The pretzel itself had no chocolate flavor that I could taste, and instead tasted like whole wheat bread. The chocolate drizzle on top melts in the microwave and makes it look scrumptious, but unfortunately I was a little disappointed. My dreams of a delicious, rich chocolate pretzel experience melted away with this one.

Apple Cinnamon: Stuffed with an ooey-gooey low fat apple filling, this cinnamon covered pretzel is pretty tasty without being overly sweet. 

I'm thinking that the 2 dessert pretzels (Chocolate Crumb and Apple Cinnamon) might taste better if they are heated in the oven. A crispier pretzel for these might bring out the flavor better. We still ate them all using the microwave, so I never did experiment with heating options.

The Verdict: Overall I really enjoyed these Kim & Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels and will certainly be keeping an eye out to purchase them at the grocery store. I'm always looking out for quick snacks and meals made of real ingredients, and none you can't pronounce! They also have a lot of other flavors available and I'd love to try their Stuffed Cream Cheese Bagels or Pretzels too.
