Natural Goodies Shipped to Your Doorstep With Conscious Box (Review)

Natural and organic foods usually cost more, and can really be discouraging when you decide you just wasted your money on that huge box of organic granola or whatever it may be. Buying a monthly subscription from Conscious Box will introduce you to many new natural and organic brands and products. Each business is included because of their commitment to sustainability and ethics of operation.

I received the November Conscious Box that had a bunch of natural and organic goodies inside. As a new company, this is their first ever Conscious Box offering. Here's what was inside:

Honest Kids - drink pouch
Kind - Almond & Coconut Bar
Glee Gum - 2 sample Boxes
Pharmacopia - Body Wash and Body Lotion samples
100% Pure - 2 Body Cream samples
Mary's Gone Crackers - cookie sample
Funky Monkey - freeze-dried fruit pouch
Cocoa Well - dietary supplement sample
Living Nutz - Banana Bread Walnut Snack

Some of these brands were new to me, but many I have heard of before. Inside the box was a card with an overview of each product and business. After reading about a few of the companies on the card and their websites, I'm impressed with the businesses chosen for this box. I noticed many of these products were made in the USA which is great. I love supporting US businesses whenever possible.

My favorite new products of all these was the Kind bar and the Funky Monkey freeze-dried fruit. I have had a few Kind bars in the past but it's been years and I haven't seen them in a long time. It was great to be re-introduced to them! I'll definitely be seeking them out again since they are a fabulous all-natural nutty snack. The freeze-dried fruit from Funky Monkey was delicious. It was a crunchy texture of dried pineapples and guava - not a combo I would have tried before. But it was wonderful and Buddy quickly took off with the rest of the pouch. :) I also loved the 100% Pure Vanilla Bean Nourishing Body Cream. The scent was heavenly, and the ingredients were pretty natural, just like I prefer.

My one suggestion for Conscious Box would be that I'd like to see more full-size products and fewer samples in their boxes. I will try samples on occasion, but generally I'm not a huge fan of little samples. I understand this is a great way to try new products without wasting a full-size product if you hate it, but I like to use the full product and give it a chance before I say I absolutely hate it. In fact, I've found plenty of products that I initially disliked but now I love because I continued to use them. For the low price though, you certainly can't complain, and I've definitely found a few products I may purchase again in the future. This is also only their first month sending out their boxes, so they are learning what their customers would like to see.

Price: $12/month + $7 shipping

The Verdict:
Despite my wish for more full-size products, trying out Conscious Box is like a surprise on your doorstep that you will certainly have fun with. It's a great way to learn about natural and organic brands and products you may not have picked up at the store before, and I appreciate Conscious Box being very selective about what businesses they represent in their boxes.
