Natural House Cleaning Ingredients to Have at Home

Disclosure: This is a guest post.

Choosing commercial detergents and cleaners can be a time sucker especially when you’re faced with so many products in the market. Sales assistants do get tacky to convince you to purchase the items that they are trying to promote. To remove all the hassle, you can simply create your own cleaners with the use of natural house cleaning ingredients that can be found in your kitchen. In this page, we will list down the things you will find most useful to have at home for cleaning purposes.

Natural House Cleaning Ingredients to Have at Home

1. Baking Soda

There are more than 30 ways that you can use baking soda in cleaning. Baking soda can be used as an odor remover, drain cleaner, and a soft scrub as well for taking our dirt and stains in the bathroom and kitchen. Just by sprinkling baking soda or soaking it for an hour inside the toilet bowl will cut down the stinky smell of urine. Baking soda mixed with hot water will do wonders when taking out the loosened pieces of burned food in the oven or pot.

2. White Vinegar

White vinegar can be your best agent next to baking soda. It can be used as a very effective cleaning detergent of carpets, as most carpet cleaning in Gold Coast involves using one part vinegar and one part water to neutralize odor and also remove stubborn stains.

You will be surprised that the white vinegar can also effectively repel bugs in your home patio, clean the glass windows without streaks, kill the weeds in the garden, and make liquid laundry detergent without toxic. If you don't like the nasty smell of vinegar, you are free to mix it with essential oils like lavender or any citrus scent.

3. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is not only meant for improving digestion and cooling yourself especially in hot summer days. This can act as a great natural way to clean the kitchen surfaces. As it's a firm staple in the refrigerator, the lemon juice has the ability to be a mild disinfectant to banish stains on butcher block countertops, wooden cutting boards, copperware, and so on.

It can also deodorize smelly garbage cans or plastic containers and also freshen up the entire room. So the next time you use lemon in your cooking, don't throw out lemon peels, but save them for your next cleaning session at home.

4. Hydrogen Peroxide

Just like the lemon juice, hydrogen peroxide as well bubbles away dirt and stains on kitchen surfaces. It's ultra-cheap and you don't need to worry about the dangers of damaging substances. Anywhere in your house, hydrogen peroxide and water can help in brightening up the dingy floors and it's safe for any type of flooring.

In the bathroom, it can be used to remove mildew and whiten the bathtub grout. Another way it can be of use is to ward off fungus the next time you will be spritzing and taking good care of your plants in your house garden. In the kitchen, use hydrogen peroxide to wipe out the dishwasher and the refrigerator. Just spray it on the appliance surface and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping clean.

5. Washing Soda

Washing soda is different from baking soda but they are both great cleansers for laundry. Washing soda is made up of sodium carbonate hence some people refer to it as soda crystals. It can be used to remove moss in concretes, driveways, and walkways inside and outside the house. It can also be used as a homemade bar soap dish liquid, all-purpose cleaner and dishwashing detergent.

Conclusion

These are some clever and recommended ingredients to make your own all-natural cleaners. Not only will these cost you less but you can also control the amount of toxins that will go to surface inside the house. The majority of products sold in commercial markets contain harmful strong chemicals that may pose danger when accidentally ingested or even when exposed to children for a long period of time. Stocking up on some natural and safe house cleaning agents will make your home a safer and more livable space with reassured comfort.
