Chick-fil-A Introduces Healthier Kid's Meal Options! Giveaway Ends 3/4 (2 Winners!)

Chick-fil-A has introduced a new nutritious Kid's Meal option...grilled chicken nuggets! This new option for kid's meals is certainly a welcome change from the greasy fried nuggets, and I'm excited that Chick-fil-A has stepped up to help the child obesity crisis in our country too. Compared to an “average” hamburger kid’s meal offered at fast food restaurants, the new Chick-fil-A Kid’s Meal (grilled nuggets [4-count], fruit cup and low fat milk) contains almost 60 percent less calories and an estimated 85 percent less fat. Oh my gosh, thank you Chick-fil-A! They seem to understand that fast food is convenient on occasion for busy moms and truly want to offer healthier choices. This may be one of the most nutritious kid's meal options I've ever seen! They also have some awesome Healthy Kids Tips that you should check out too.

Chick-fil-A is also offering a new side option to their normal fruit cup or fries choices. It's a Buddy Fruits Pure Blended Fruit To Go applesauce! We love fruit pouches in our house. Although this isn't an organic option (well, nothing is in restaurants!), it's a much better option that fries. Besides that, it's not messy, doesn't require a spoon and they taste great also!

It's so ironic that my husband and I were JUST talking about this! We were just saying how we didn't like the kid's meal option of fried, greasy nuggets for kids, especially when we we're getting their healthier, grilled Chargrilled Sandwich for ourselves. Just when were about to forgo our frequent trips to Chick-fil-A, we were pleasantly surprised with this new change. Buddy loves the new grilled nuggets and eats them up with a smile! He doesn't miss the greasy nuggets one bit (which are still available if you happen to prefer those). I also like the Buddy Fruit pouch option, but Buddy actually prefers the fruit cup.

SO excited to hear about this new option! I have only taken my kids a handful of times, but they love the play area! My daughter is potty training and her reward to filling up her sticker chart is to go to Chick-fil-A (mostly to play)!!!! I have gotten my kids a plain chicken breast with lettuce, tomato and pickles to split and normally they eat the chicken out of it! They just pick it apart! My kids are not familiar with burgers or large meat sandwiches like this (we don't give our kids ground beef) so this new meal would be perfect for them! Thanks for sharing!
