I Received A Visit From...The Fairy Hobmother!

There's this very friendly fella called the Fairy Hobmother that has been spreading joy and happiness throughout the blogosphere! I do believe in fairies! I do! I do! I recently received a visit from the Fairy Hobmother and was sprinkled with some fairy dust love (aka Amazon gift card) for just sharing about the amazing selection of refrigerators he showed me. Speaking of refrigerators and appliances, we'll be getting some new ones once we move (which is hopefully soon!). This wonderful surprise will certainly help offset the cost a little!

Now I bet you're wondering how YOU can receive a visit from the Fairy Hobmother, right? Just comment on my post with your blog info and maybe you'll be next! Thank you Fairy Hobmother!

Disclosure: I received an Amazon gift card in exchange for my post. Thank you Fairy Hobmother!

{Sponsor Spotlight & Review} Baby & Me Baby Bath Towel from Bathing In Grace

The Baby & Me baby bath towel by Bathing In Grace is a mom-invented, genius idea that solves common issues that arise from bathing your baby. I vividly remember hating bath time with Buddy as an infant simply because I didn't have enough hands. By the time I lifted him out of the bath and onto a towel to start drying him, I would be wet, he would start to scream because he was cold, and I would get so frazzled that baths didn't happen as often as they should have at that age. What should have been a soothing, bonding experience for us both became dreadful each time. I wish the Baby & Me Bath Towel was around back then!

I received the Baby & Me Bath Towel Set and immediately knew it would have been a huge help when Buddy was an infant. The set is two pieces which button together. The first piece is the bib towel that ties around the neck and hangs to completely cover the parent down to mid-thigh. This means you stay dry! The second piece is the hooded towel and attaches to the buttons on the bib towel which are found at the waist. Simply take baby out of the bath and bring him naturally to your chest. Then just bring the second piece of the towel up and over their head. No juggling the towel and baby at the same time and you avoid getting flustered too!

The Baby & Me bath towel is made out of 100% Certified Organic Bamboo Terry, making this one of the softest, most luxurious natural materials I've ever felt. Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-static, insulating and also very absorbent. The bamboo is thick and heavy, and evidently very high quality upon first sight! The trim is a 100% Certified Organic Ribbed Cotton so there's no cutting corners on the quality in this product. Even the minimal packaging of the bath towel is FSC Certified. The owner of Bathing In Grace is passionate about the environment, so it's wonderful to see her invention is made from such beautiful materials to reflect her passion. Besides, infant baby skin is so delicate and should be treated to only the best!

The Baby & Me bath towel makes bath time easy, safe, convenient and a more calm experience for all. It makes a wonderful baby shower gift! This product is also made right here in the USA which I'm very excited to see of course! I'm very impressed with this patent pending invention and believe it will be a life saver when we have another baby. So wrap your baby in absolute luxury and make bath time a bonding experience every time!

Nicki's Diapers sent me their newly introduced Best Bottom Potty Training Kit. This kit includes 1 Training Pant and 3 snap-in FeelWet Inserts at a very economical cost of just $22.95. The concept of this system allows for 3 changes using the FeelWet inserts that snap into place inside the training pants. The training pants feature a soft, stretchy cotton on the outside with PUL protection on the inside. They have a nice wide waistband for optimal comfort and gentle elastic around the legs. The FeelWet inserts feature an adorable printed flannel on one side and microfiber on the backside with an additional hidden layer of microfiber. These inserts should provide a decent amount of protection in case of a small accident but the flannel on the FeelWet inserts (which are so adorable!) will allow your child to feel just enough wetness to help them get to the potty.

The FeelWet Inserts just snap in so easily! Above I have the trainers inside out so you can see what they look like on the inside. There is a flap of PUL in the front and back that you lift up to reveal the other snap for the insert. Just snap it into place and you're good to go! I love that there is a snap on the front and back of these trainers so the inserts stays put. No shifting at all! Similar trainers and cloth diapers that have just one snap and a short flap or pocket just doesn't cut it and are quite fussy. These are functional, easy to assemble and the Best Bottom diaper inserts can be used in the training pants system too if you're already in love with Best Bottom Diapers!

On the left the trainer is turned inside out. The light blue is the cotton and the dark blue is the PUL. As you can see there is no PUL protection on a small portion of each side which cuts down on unnecessary bulk and cost too. On the right is a view of the inside of the training pants with an insert already placed inside. Buddy gets a kick out of the prints! He asks to wear these a lot because he gets to choose the insert. With toddlers it's always about choices so the fun prints are a very clever idea. I think it's also extra incentive for him to remember to make it to the potty in time so he doesn't wet on them!

Here you can see that these are pretty trim on Buddy with the exception of just a little poofiness in the front. It's not bulkiness as a result of too much material though so it doesn't have this appearance under pants. Actually, you can't even tell that these are anything different than regular underwear underneath pants! They seem to have a low rise but since they sit at a natural spot under Buddy's bulging waist they appear to be pretty comfortable and contribute to the trimness. Buddy is 39 pounds, so he's at the end of the size Large we received which goes up to 40 pounds. Knowing this I would say these are true to size. I'm hoping a larger size is in the works since we're at the end of this size and I don't expect them to fit too long.

Although Buddy has not had an accident in these, I can see how easy it would be to just replace the insert without having to pull them all the way off (and his pants too...). This makes it really convenient for times we are using public restrooms or while traveling. There's less to carry since it's just an extra insert and not a whole pair of training pants!

I love this system for many reasons, but one of them is that they are made right here in the USA. Best Bottom Diapers is conscious about supporting our local economy by making their products in the US and also by sourcing as many materials here as possible. Along with the high quality, trim fit and protection offered by this system, I'm also a big fan of the short drying time. The training pants and inserts are actually done drying before the rest of my clothes! This saves me from having to devote extra time to watching my laundry and having to line dry after. I'm really excited about Best Bottom Diapers' Training Pants and love that Nicki from Nicki's Diapers is behind the creation of this fantastic product!
