(Closed) The Tee Shirt Extender By Blush Accessories Review and Giveaway Ends 7/14

Undershirts and camisole straps bug me so much! Sometimes I think my back isn't entirely straight (really!), but sometimes it's the darn straps falling down, digging in, or twisting with my bra straps. I need to wear a basic tee under my clothes most the time simply because I'm tall and I don't want to show off my wrinkly-mommy-belly to the world! I've seen several concepts out there for preggo mamas, but was really excited to find The Tee Shirt Extender by Blush  Accessories for women!

The Tee Shirt extender is basically an undershirt that is worn as a layering piece, without those pesky straps! It's almost like a tube top while being shaped wider at the bottom for your hips, and smaller at the top for your waist. It's very versatile and can be worn several ways: to lengthen the look of your shirt, up higher for more coverage with a deep V or low cut shirt, or to cover a nursing mother's stomach too. It can even be worn as a maternity accessory since it's sooo stretchy although I know with how huge my belly gets I'd only be able to wear it until about 4-5 months along if I were pregnant!

I first wore The Tee Shirt Extender I received to lengthen my shirt by a couple inches as you can see above. When I wore it this way, the top of the undershirt was just under my bra line and was extremely comfortable. It stayed put, didn't ride up at the hips, and was very effective. I couldn't even tell I had something extra on and no one else would be able to tell either because the material is nice and thin, and hides well under your shirt. It's also a great accessory for summer because the material is so thin and should still let you stay cool.

The Tee Shirt Extender is made of 60% polyester, 32% Rayon, and 8% spandex. It's extremely stretchy, and will definitely fit most women of every shape. It comes in Black, White and Mocha and in sizes small, medium and large. The craftsmanship is great and the stitching is beautiful. I think they're very nicely made. They are also manufactured in Provo, UT too! Gotta love jobs staying here in the US!

Price: $13.99 for one white undershirt, $15.99 for one black or mocha, $24.95 for a 2-pack or $39.95 for a 3-pack.

The Verdict: Love this concept! No more straps to bug me, and I can still be totally comfortable in my clothes. The price is great and you can easily get by with just one, although you'll want one in every color! I hope they expand their selection a little more to include fun, bright colors and I'd love to see organic or bamboo materials as options too!

(Closed) Ecomom, Pangea Organics, and Egyptian Magic Review & Giveaway Ends 7/12

Once again, I'm thrilled to work with ecomom.com and bring you a review of some of their exciting products! You all know by now that I LOVE ecomom. Their commitment to bring you safe products for your family, and still create a smaller carbon footprint is evident and always appreciated. Their wide selection of eco-friendly products will keep you coming back for more, again and again!

Ecomom sent me a couple samples to try out and review. First, I tried a sample of the Pangea Organics Japanese Matcha Tea with Acai & Goji Berry Facial Mask
Well, I wish I had a whole tube of this stuff! I like to use just a simple face wash or face bar soap every day, but I need a gritty skincare product occasionally to rejuvenate and exfoliate. This is a great solution! Pangea Organics brings a holistic approach to skincare, and it's clearly evident in their choice of ingredients. This facial mask is made with certified organic ingredients, essential oils, herbal extracts and is absolutely packed with a wonderful blend of nutrient-rich, all-natural, nature-derived ingredients. You'll also find green and white clays, sea vegetables, sugarcane, acai and goji berry extracts, oils, seeds, teas in this product. Talk about a delicious feast of super foods and antioxidants for your skin!

It was hard to actually spread it evenly over my whole face since it's quite a gritty texture. It's not a smooth paste by any means, which is actually quite nice. My face needs an overhaul every so often! Following the directions, I applied the mask to my face and left it on for 10 minutes (10-20 minutes on the directions). At that point you wet your fingers and massage the mask into your skin and then wash it off. What was nice about this mask is that you don't have to add water to it at the beginning which tends to dry my face out too much and makes the whole experience not so fun. This mask didn't harden too much either, unlike many other masks that make it difficult and uncomfortable to move. You can use this mask 1-3 times a week for a healthy glow and some seriously rejuvenated skin.

My skin was certainly extra smooth energized from this mask! My skin really liked it! The only thing I didn't particularly like was the strong scent. The culprit is the combination of all the essential oils and extracts in this product. I'd probably get used to it after regular use, but I thought it was just a bit too much. At least I wasn't sneezing like I do with some fragrances!
I also had the opportunity to try a sample of Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream. It's another product ecomom offers that is pretty darn natural with just a few ingredients. Just 6 ingredients to be exact: olive oil, beeswax, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly, and propous extract. Not only that, but it's a proven ingredient combination from over 2,000 years ago. Celebrities swear by it and it's being hailed as a truly magical product.

Since it's all-natural, it's great to hear and read testimonials about this product's effectiveness. It's apparently great for hair, lips, face, and body and gives you that healthy glow we all want. This cream has been known to heal scars, wounds and skin conditions like eczema. I've had eczema for over 10 years and I'm wondering if it would be help me! I only received a small sample which I used on my hands, but would love to get my hands on a full-size product and see what it can really do over time.

This cream practically melts on contact and feels oily at first on your skin. The first ingredient is olive oil, so that makes sense. It actually looks more llike vaseline than a cream. Although it took about 20 minutes to really absorb into my skin, that didn't matter because I loved how soft my hands were! I always have dry, 80-year-old lady hands and never seem to find an effective product that I actually remember to use on a daily basis. This would be awesome to use every night before I go to bed! I'll be saving up for this product!

Price: Pangea Organics Japanese Matcha Tea with Acai & Goji Berry Facial Mask is $40 and the Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream is $29.99.

The Verdict: Although the Pangea Organics Facial Mask was a bit fragrant in my opinion (and not my favorite!), it still did the job and is SO good for your skin. I wish it were a little more affordable (so I can buy a whole tube!) but I why it's so expensive based on the ingredients. The Egyptian Magic All-Purpose Skin Cream made my hands so soft! I loved it! Despite the greasy texture at first, I figure it's worth the results. This cream is also an expensive product, but a little goes a long way and won't disappear as fast as your regular skin creams and lotions.

Sprig Toys ~ Dino Adventure Rig Review

There's a great, eco-friendly toy company in town and they've got a fun line up for your kids! It's Sprig Toys! Founded on the belief that it is possible to make environmentally and socially responsible toys without severe cost or value penalties, Sprig Toys has certainly achieved their goal and a fabulous company has emerged!

So, what makes their toys so unique?
  • Sprig Toys are made of Sprigwood. It's a signature, eco-friendly material created by Sprig Toys that is a blend of recycled plastic and reclaimed wood. Sprigwood is a very durable, child-safe, bio-composite, green material that requires no paint since the material is dyed during production using safe pigments that are free of soluble heavy metals, phthalates or endocrine disruptors.
  • Even the packaging is fully recyclable. It's made partially of recycled chipboard and printed using water based inks.
  • Sprig Toys is dedicated to using responsible business and manufacturing practices to ensure a smaller carbon footprint.
Based on all that fantastic-ness, I was thrilled to check out the Dino Adventure Rig for this review!
Features:
1 Adventure Truck
2 Dinosaurs - Mother and Baby
1 Adventure Guide - Rex Jungle
1 Adventure Hat - Interchangeable!
1 Backpack Accessory

The Dino Adventure Rig is one of four non-electronic toys from Sprig Toys' Adventure Series. Sprig vehicles and characters are interchangeable, creating a multitude of imaginative scenarios for your kids. Rex Jungle ( or the "guy" as Buddy calls him!) sits in the front seat of the vehicle and the baby dinosaur can ride in the back "cage" area. It's a nice size vehicle, and is great for indoor play or for treks outside in the dirt or rocks!
To be honest, I wasn't expecting such a high quality toy. I guess that's because I relate lesser known brands (for me at least) with less quality. I have been proven absolutely wrong! While being light weight and perfect for a toddler to carry around, the whole set is super sturdy and very nicely made. I LOVE it! The Sprigwood material is really nice, feels stronger than plastic. Buddy is pretty rough with his toys, and likes to put all his weight on his larger vehicles and run with them across the floor. This has held up really well and holds his weight with no problems at all. He really enjoys the dinosaurs, and makes roaring sounds as he plays with them. So cute!

I would change only a couple very minor features of this product. The little guy doesn't fit snugly in the vehicle. With the way my 2 1/2 year old plays, the guy pops out in 2 seconds and he gets a bit frustrated. The other part to that is that the detachable backpack can't be attached to the guy while in the vehicle. It just doesn't fit! It would be nice if it would. Otherwise I might be facing a lost accessory soon since Buddy will be taking it off all the time!

A unique design feature of the dinos and the little guy is that they have no eyes, and actually no face at all on the guy. In some ways I think they're cute this way, but for a little kid I think facial features or at least eyes would be better for playing. I think I'm going to give in and pull out the sharpie and give them eyes! A bit of a silly thing, I know. I still love this toy set for my son, and have been very happy with it!

Sprig Toys also make electronic toys that have features like lights and sound effects but are battery-free, kid-powered electronic vehicles. How cool is that?!? No running to the store for stinkin' batteries! Their website is also super cute, and when your curser goes over each toy series on their homepage, they move!

Be sure to check out Sprig Toys on Facebook and Twitter!

Price: The Dino Adventure Rig set is $24.99.

The Verdict: I'm really impressed with the child-safe material used and sturdiness overall. This set provides lots of various scenarios for play time too! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Sprig Toys and can't wait to get another set or two in the future!

Buy It: Buy the Dino Adventure Rig!
