Travel Light & Fast with the Urbini Hummingbird Stroller

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Urbini. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and as a thank you for participating.

With two of my sisters currently expecting, it's important for me to keep up with the latest products, innovations, and trends in baby gear so I can make recommendations if asked. I also hate feeling out of the loop when conversations on these topics come up, so I'm excited to be somewhat early on the baby stroller band wagon. Urbini is an exclusive new line of baby gear which includes the world's lightest full-featured stroller, the stylish Urbini Hummingbird.

The ultra-light Urbini Hummingbird weighs under 7 pounds, yet has features that far surpass what one would expect from a stroller so lightweight. It reclines, has a 5-point harness, features a strong, aluminum frame design and even allows you to easily open and close with one hand. The Hummingbird also comes in four beautiful colors, including the gorgeous Peacock I chose and is great for boys and girls.

Upon taking the Hummingbird out of the box, I was very relieved to see how easy assembly would be! I just had to pop on the four wheels and it was ready to test out. I immediately noted how it rolls quietly and rather smoothly, unlike a loud, plastic-wheeled umbrella stroller that offers no comfort or smooth gliding for parent or child.

Here are several views of the Hummingbird. On the right the stroller is reclined and the large canopy is fully open. Although it's lightweight like an umbrella stroller, there is truly no comparison in way of features or functionality. The handle is also a very comfortable height.

The handle is very comfortable to hold and feels a bit like a neoprene material. To open and fold close this stroller, with one hand you just slide the fold button and press the bottom button at the same time for either function. Pulling the stroller open doesn't take much effort or strength. Folding it into it's closed position is also quite effortless, and it self-locks into it's self-standing position. This is very convenient for quickly loading up the car, or putting away neatly for storage.

The padded, curved armbar swivels open by squeezing the two release buttons. The armbar is very flexible and easy to manipulate.

The Hummingbird features a unique reclining system, using a strap and slider. By pulling down the strap as shown above, the seat is now in the fully reclined position. Although it doesn't recline too much, you can position the seat anywhere you want in between by pulling the strap all the way or just partially.

To place the seat back in the upright position, you just push the black slider up and pull on the other strap. Honestly this system did take me a few tries to get the hang of, but it's super simple now.

The 5-point harness offers maximum safety for your child. The shoulder and waist straps are fully adjustable to fit your child appropriately and snugly.

Your child's comfort is important when considering your stroller purchase! The Urbini does not disappoint in this area either. The seat is padded all the way around, even on the sides. There are even padded harness strap covers which are removable if desired.

The roomy storage basket is a great bonus. There's enough room for a diaper bag, a sack lunch and a few extras.

As I mentioned in my Walmart review, my only issue with this stroller was the the method for changing the shoulder strap position. It was just a tougher process than it probably could be but it's doable.

My favorite feature is definitely just how light this stroller is. I very narrowly escaped extensive injury many times when Buddy was a baby because I had a huge stroller and travel system! The Urbini Hummingbird truly earns the award for best lightweight stroller!

The Urbini Hummingbird stroller is full of all the modern features a standard stroller should have, with the additional advantage of being extremely lightweight and easy to maneuver. Equally perfect for traveling and running errands with a little one, this stroller is a smart and affordable choice.

The harness system is my favorite selling point but I also like the roomy storage area. I'll keep your review in mind while I'm looking for a new stroller for the grand baby.

I like the way the armbar opens up, so different to when I had little ones.

I've never heard of this one but light definitely helps. Plus I like the basket at the bottom.
