Monthly Subscription Boxes :: Tasterie Review, Coupon & Giveaway {Ends 7/24}

Tasterie is a new monthly subscription service that sends you a box of healthy foods based on your allergen or dietary needs each month. Finding healthy, safe foods when you're facing food allergies can sometimes be a discouraging task. But food should be fun! Tasterie offers you a balanced variety of foods and snacks curated by a Physician that will let you enjoy food again while discovering new favorites.

What's Inside?

I received a SignatureBox that includes 8-10 food products. Mine included 10 products and everything was entirely gluten- and dairy-free.

• Red Pepper & Eggplant Hummus by Robert Rothschild Farm - I've never enjoyed eggplant but maybe this is the first time it's been in a favorable form? Almost a cross between a plain hummus and a very mild salsa puree, this was a perfect compliment to the Falafel Chips!
• Sweet Cranberry Pecan Granola by Love Grown Foods - I had high hopes for this granola since upon opening it had a strong aroma that reminded me of cinnamon rolls. However, it was a bit lacking in actual flavor and left me craving a gluten-filled Cinnabon. It is great as a compliment to yogurt though and I might try to break it up a bit more and create a crunchy topping for my gluten-free muffins recipe.
• All-Natural Almond Butter by Barney Nut Butter - (two single serving packs) Almond butter is so yummy by itself or on toast, and this was no exception. The single serving aspect makes it a great snack on the go, or even packed with apple slices for your kiddos. A great alternative to peanut butter (although I love pb too) and made in an almond-only facility, I'm definitely keeping an eye out for more from this company! They're also a local company from Fresno, Ca!
• Fuji Apple Chips by Yogavive - (two packages) Of course I've been enjoying a lot of apple chips lately from all my monthly subscription reviews, but this is a new brand for me! They are crispy, light, flavorful and made from just a 100% organic fuji apples. Each little single serving package is only 35 calories and contains one full apple. I love these as a portioned, guilt-free snack that satisfies my sweet tooth! Another local company to me....they're from Napa, Ca!
• Fancy Squares Chocolates by Amanda's Own Confections - These taste similar to semi-sweet chocolate chips but in one big square. There's nothing super special about these but they do taste yummy and the chocolate is satisfying. I'd love to see these come in a darker chocolate without sugar being the first ingredient. But they are GF so of course that's a major plus!
• Organic Falafel Chips by Flamous - These are basically a really tasty bean chip that crunch like regular potato chips. They have that yummy bean flavor with a nice amount of organic spices. Yet another somewhat local company to me. They are from Pasadena, Ca!
• Seed and Fruit Mix by Enjoy Life - (two packages) Enjoy Life is a brand I recently found and have been checking out a few of their other products. This mix is a yummy snack on the go and Buddy really liked it too. No nuts, just seeds, dried fruit and chocolate chips!

Since I recently went gluten-free I thoroughly loved knowing right away that I could eat everything inside this box! I'm starting to feel a bit left out when I'm around family and friends that are eating foods in front of me that I previously used to enjoy all the time and now can't. It's also getting a bit embarrassing that I'm always turning down food and have to explain why. But since my TasterieBox specifically meets my gluten intolerance needs, there was only excitement and relief. Not only was everything gluten-free and dairy-free (although I'm fine with dairy at this point), but also relatively healthy and only natural choices. I discovered lots of new food brands and products in my box which I really enjoyed too.

Inside the box were a couple recipe cards that each use one of the products from the box. It's nice to be able to enjoy allergen-free foods within a real meal instead of just as a snack by itself. I also like that the Falafel Chips can be dipped in the Hummus that came in the box! Tasterie was clever in doing this!

I really appreciate the extra steps that Tasterie takes to verify each product's allergen status to ensure it's safe. On each individual product in my box there was a sticker for extra reassurance that it was indeed gluten- and diary-free. Tasterie also keeps manufacturer information available to their customers should you need more information. There was a wonderful selection and variety in my TasterieBox, and also a good mix of full-size and single serving foods. I'm absolutely amazed at how they're able to keep up with all the different boxes they offer (see subscription options below). If you or a family member are dealing with an allergy situation or you'd just like to discover healthy snacks, I highly recommend Tasterie!
