The Made With Love Giveaway Hop is almost here! I'd like to introduce you to one of my sponsors for this event...Great Cakes Soapworks!
Great Cakes Soapworks is owned and operated by Amy. She makes handcrafted bar soaps, natural facial care, and other bath and body products. With professional packaging and high quality ingredients, you are sure to love everything she makes!
Amy sent me her Unscented Whipped Shea Butter. This product is 100% natural, consisting of only shea butter, jojoba oil, and vitamin E. These ingredients are amazing combination for your skin. The first thing I noticed when I opened this product was that under the lid was a seal, ensuring you have a fresh product! That's definitely not something you generally see with a handmade/homemade product. The container says "A little goes a long way!" and that is absolutely true. The consistency is thick (reminds of finger paste from grade school!), and really seems to spread well when it comes in contact with my skin. It's very moisturizing, and is best used on dry, cracked feet, elbows, knees, and the tops of your hands. It protects your skin, creating a moisturizing barrier against harsh conditions like the the cold, wind, and sun. Perfect for the upcoming winter season!
At first I used the Whipped Shea Butter all over my hands as you would a lotion, and they stayed a bit greasy for longer than I would normally be okay with. However, the tops of my hands loved it. They eventually soaked up the product and left me with healthy-looking, revitalized skin. This product is definitely great for areas of your skin that need extra moisture and attention. It also comes in Vanilla Hazelnut which I'm sure smells amazing, but it's nice to have unscented products at times too. I'm determined to baby my skin with this Whipped Shea Butter this winter to improve hydration and softness. Based on my previous experience with Great Cakes Soapworks facial care products, I don't expect anything less than amazing results.

Price: Small Whipped Shea Butter - $7, Large Whipped Shea Butter - $12
The Verdict: I'm such a fan of body products that use only a few natural ingredients! This is an effective moisturizer and skin protector year round, but will be even better for the dry, cold winter weather ahead.

ReplyDeleteThat looks so thick but I will say that I prefer that consistency when it is winter. Good price too. I will have to check into getting myself a small to try out this week.

It would be great to have a product like this for the cold, dry winter! I also like that she seals it.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this product! I have the vanilla hazelnut variety and it smells AMAZING! I use it mainly on my feet, hands and elbows. It does such an amazing job of moisturizing, that I do not have to use it nearly as often, but that may change with winter around the corner. I would highly recommend this product and plan to always have this product on hand. ; )
