About the Designer...
Hello!! My name is Kim Lewis and I run CK Bakery Shop. I started making cakes in a jar as a way of sending my husband homemade goodies while serving overseas. The cakes are sealed and last up to 12 months. Although, they very rarely last that long in our house. In October of 2010 I decided to turn this hobby into a business. I have been pleasantly surprised at the response. One lucky person will get the chance to try one of these great cakes during the Made With Love event. Please visit our website at www.ckbakeryshop.com or visit our CK Bakery Shop Facebook page. Thank you!!

Homemade goodness in a jar! That's what I found when I opened my jar cake from CK Bakery Shop and smelled the strong aroma of delicious Banana Nut Bread. Thank you!!
It arrived in a wide mouth glass jar, completely sealed for freshness. I popped open the lid, flipped it over and it came out with no problem! Then I sliced it and enjoyed. This classic banana nut bread smelled very fruity to me, almost like applesauce, and tasted like a super moist, fresh-out-of-the-oven banana nut bread! I don't know what ingredients were used, but if I could guess I would probably say that applesauce was in it to help keep this bread very moist. (Added 7/20 ~ CK Bakery says there is NO applesauce in this cake!) It definitely worked, and was a really delicious treat. My son really enjoyed it too!
The jar cake I received was good up until December! Because of their long shelf-life, this is an amazing way to send a taste of home baking to military personnel serving overseas, or your college student too. I can see how these jar cakes are such a great way to show someone far away how much you care. With lots of delicious flavors to choose from, there's something for everyone. The Chocolate "Cav" Cake (dark chocolate cake and peanut butter chips) looks heavenly!
CK Bakery Shop loves to serve our military, and would certainly love to bring a taste of homemade to your soldier serving our country overseas (or even just across the country!). Be sure to check out all her available jar cake flavors at $4 each. You can also join the Cake of the Month Club for $100, and enjoy a jar cake shipped to your recipient every month for an entire year. A bonus jar cake is sent during their birthday month too!
Win it!
One winner will receive a jar cake of the winner's choice from CK Bakery Shop!
