(Closed) Butt Naked Baby ~ Natural & Organic Skincare Review and Giveaway Ends 4/29

When it comes to skin, especially baby skin, we should all be aware of what ingredients are in the skincare products we use. Butt Naked Baby is a natural and organic skincare line not only for infants and babies, but for anyone with sensitive skin. Even if you don't have sensitive skin, you'll love the pure ingredients used by Butt Naked Baby.

White Tea, Green Tea, and Calendula are Butt Naked Baby's signature blend of powerful, nutritious, organic ingredients for sensitive skin. Calendula is known for it's anti-inflammatory properties, and tea extracts contain powerful antioxidants that are also helpful in reducing inflammation and other issues associated with skin conditions, diaper rash, and baby acne.

All Butt Naked Baby products are "free from toxic chemicals, pesticide residues, parabens, SLS, artificial colorings, fragrances, and synthetic preservatives."

Butt Naked Baby takes pride in their products, and want their customers to know exactly what each product contains. Although not every product they make bears the USDA Organic certification seal, they do still share what percentage of organic ingredients are in each product which varies from 70-94% (95% and above is considered USDA Organic), right on each product.

Because baby skin is 5 times thinner at birth, they are more susceptible to having chemicals and harsh ingredients irritate their delicate skin. It's great to know that their is a natural and organic line of skincare products that have been specifically formulated with this in mind. I received the following 3 Butt Naked Baby products to review for my readers.

911 Rescue Cream
The main reason I wanted to try Butt Naked Baby products was for the 911 Rescue Cream. After learning it has the potential to soothe the bothersome effects of the eczema and psoriasis I have, I was thrilled to give it a chance. For the last 10 years, I've had a combination of eczema and psoriasis on various areas of my skin, including the back on my neck extending up past my hairline a few inches, on my eyelid, and in my ears. It isn't a very pleasant skin condition to view, so I've opted to not include photos.

I used the 911 Rescue Cream on the lower half of the effected area on my neck that isn't above my hairline to see what changes, if any, would occur. After a few days of applying a generous amount of the cream several times a day, I noticed improved hydration and less redness in the area. The itching, however, was just the same. Because the skin was well hydrated though, it was easier to avoid irritating the skin further to the point of cracking, oozing and bleeding (lovely, isn't it?). It's so important that I keep the area as hydrated as possible and this cream is very effective in doing so.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting a miracle cure here, and that's not what 911 Rescue Cream is all about anyway. It aim to nourish, hydrate, and soothe irritated skin that is just sensitive, or effected with a skin condition like I have. The only success I've ever had at almost completely relieving the "angry" redness, inflamation, and itchiness is unfortunately steroid creams and even a prescription in the past. However, I'm thrilled with the all natural and organic ingredients in the this cream, just like all the Butt Naked Baby products.

I also used this for my super dry hands. My hands probably look like I'm 50 years old because they're so dry! The cream penetrates the skin quickly but not enough to just apply and go. I found I had to rub it into my skin for a few minutes to avoid feeling like I had grease all over them. However, with regular lotions I sometimes feel that I need to reapply within just minutes. With the 911 Rescue Cream, my hands felt smooth, soft, and moisturized for hours and there was a clear difference in texture the next day!

Shea Stick & Calming Cleanser
The Shea Stick is an awesome moisturizer that almost seems to "melt" when it comes in contact with your skin. Made with organic tea extracts, calendula, and ultra rich shea butter, this convenient stick of all natural ingredients is moisture-rich and high in antioxidants to relieve dry, chapped skin. Buddy has somewhat dry skin in the colder months and as a result I actually try to bathe him less often than normal (eek!) to avoid contributing to the problem further. Recently he got out of the bath and I noticed he was rubbing his rough, dry cheeks so I knew they were bothering him. Chapped baby skin is no match for the Shea Stick! With a quick swipe on each cheek, and a quick rub with my fingers, the results were instant. No more dry skin and all I could see were perfectly hydrated cheeks! The Shea Stick is wonderful to have on hand for any dry skin, anywhere you have it. I even used it on my chapped lips too and loved how it moist and protected it made them!

I also received the Calming Cleanser. I used it for myself, and for Buddy as well. It doesn't bubble or foam up like other cleansers, and instead has a creamy consistency like that of lotion. I felt like I needed A LOT of the cleanser to effectively clean. It seems to stick to your skin and not slide like soap. I guess that is a good thing if you have dry skin though! That means it's moisturizing your skin, but it still didn't go very far. I feel like the 6.7 oz. little bottle will be gone within just a couple weeks, but we'll see how that goes. I've been rotating it with another cleanser so we'll have a really hydrating cleanser when we need it. Out of the shower, I noticed how truly hydrated my skin was. I've NEVER felt a difference in my skin from changing to any other bathing cleanser before. The Calming Cleanser really nourished my skin and made me notice how dry all my skin was before.

I'm really excited to try the Anti-Stretchmark Therapy the next time I am pregnant. With Buddy, I had the most horrendous itching imaginable caused by my humungous egg-shaped belly and the stretch marks that rapidly appeared around 6 months along. I'd love to have a natural product to hydrate my skin and help me avoid and repair inevitable stretch marks next time around!

Be sure to check out Butt Naked Baby on Facebook and Twitter!

Price: The 911 Rescue Cream is $16, the Shea Stick is $12, and the Calming Cleanser is $14.

The Verdict: I'm so thrilled with Butt Naked Baby! I'm impressed with their commitment to naturally nourishing baby skin, and all the high quality ingredients that go into their products. I've seen testimonies of significant improvement of skin conditions while using the 911 Rescue Cream and other products, so I believe the high price is certainly worth at least trying Butt Naked Baby.
Their products are great for soothing sensitive skin, problem skin, eczema, dry skin for people of all ages and they're made in the USA too!
