Desiring a durable, classy shoe for dressy occasions during the holidays specifically, I chose the Pine Slip Jr. style for Buddy. The chocolate brown with blue accents adds a little fun and charm to this style. They are made from buffalo crazy horse leather and other man-made materials on the outside, and breathable Suedetec on the inside.

A common issue with slip-on styles can often be just getting them on! The Pine Slip Jr. has elastic gores on each side and double pull straps to avoid this issue altogether. Buddy has no problem getting these on by himself.

The tractioned, flexible rubber makes these the perfect Sunday school style shoe for busy boys since they're dressy, yet comfortable, and can handle playtime too. I've had plenty of days where Buddy has insisted on wearing them to run errands with me too, so I'd consider this style to be pretty versatile if worn with jeans and a nice sweater or collared shirt.

 

What does Buddy think? He wasn't loving them when he first saw them in person. But after modeling them for me he declared them to be pretty comfy. There hasn't been a break-in period, so I'd consider this style to be nice and supportive for young feet.
