NEW Paper Pans from If You Care :: Review & Giveaway {Ends 8/16}

If You Care is wholeheartedly dedicated to the environment in all they do from sourcing and production to final product. They are determined to ensure that their awesome kitchen and household products leave very little environmental impact. Their recently introduced Paper Cake & Pie Pans and Paper Loaf Pans are no exception. As the first-ever FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) Certified baking pans, they certainly live up to being very environmentally-friendly and yet very effective. They're TCF (totally chlorine-free), sourced from responsibly managed forests, recyclable, and naturally greaseproof which makes them perfect for baking.

Since my new If You Care pans just arrived, of course I took the opportunity to try out my favorite gluten-free muffin recipe as a loaf to see how it would turn out. Feel free to check out this recipe from Happy Mothering. It is truly a fabulous gluten-free muffin or loaf recipe! It's reminiscent of a moist banana bread, without any flour though so it's gluten-free. Just add about 10-12 minutes if you're doing a loaf instead of muffins.

After baking and letting it rest for 10 minutes I flipped the pan over with the loaf inside. I squished the sides just a little and it popped out! As you can see there were very few crumbs that actually stuck in the loaf pan. It was really just baked crumbs in the corners' crevices. I love the non-stick (but safe) feature of these pans. I know that this would not have been the case with a glass loaf pan, or even a stainless steel pan. Despite adding a hefty coat of butter or coconut oil it would not have just slipped out this easily. With the If You Care pans you don't have to grease them at all since the paper is made with similar silicone properties as the baking cups and parchment paper that I absolutely love.

These pans are disposable but I know from experience that their parchment is good for multiple uses. The loaf pan I used looked great after baking in it so I used it again and, while not quite the same as the first use, didn't experience too much sticking. Since they are disposable, they are fabulous for taking over a dinner or dessert to friends or an event and you won't have to worry about forgetting your pan to take home. They're also recyclable so the disposable aspect doesn't bother me.

The loaf cooked very even throughout the middle, unlike the temperamental muffins I make weekly from the same recipe! I'm so thrilled! These new pans from If You Care get a huge two thumbs up from me. Safe for me, the environment, and a wonderful addition to my kitchen!
