Eco-friendly toys seem to be popping up everywhere. And I say, "It's about time!" It's exciting to see so many small businesses start up that are making an impact on the environment while also giving us more safe toy options!

Green Toys Inc. began in 2007 and has grown tremendously in just five years. This children's toy company seems to be doing everything right because they even just added three new toys: the Airplane, Seaplane, and Submarine! This company is truly amazing, and definitely one of my very favorites for my son. Every bit of manufacturing happens here in the USA, in California to be more precise. This cuts down on the greenhouse gas emissions caused by transportation of materials, saves energy, and I think this also allows Green Toys to stay focused on the high quality and safety of their toys.

Green Toys uses 100% recycled plastic from milk jugs. Not only that, but their toys are completely BPA-, PVC- and phthalate-free making them an excellent, SAFE choice for children. They also use simple, recycled and recyclable materials for their minimal packaging. No twist ties or anything! That way your kids can get to playing immediately after opening, which is definitely a bonus!

We are definitely big fans of Green Toys in our house! We already have several vehicles and the tug boat. They very recently came out with a few new toys as I mentioned, and we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to check out the new Submarine. It's a new bath time favorite! Featuring a hollow cabin, a handle on top for easy playing, and a propeller that spins, the Submarine is a WIN for the Reynolds family.

The Green Toys Submarine floats on water, will stay fully submerged for under water play, and even scoops and pours water too. After misplacing a small cup in the bath to rinse my son's hair, I quickly realized that the Submarine could do the job just as well. It takes on water quickly, and pours out the front in a wide stream for quick rinsing!

One of the things I'm excited about with the Submarine is that the top opens to allow you to fully clean the inside. This is the one issue I have with our tug boat since it's top doesn't open. It appears that they have taken feedback from the tug boat design to ensure that the Submarine has the ability to open. It's even dishwasher safe for the easiest cleaning task ever. Once again, I'm totally excited about this new toys from Green Toys and we'll be customers for years to come.

It's so inspiring to see such a wonderful business succeed and to easily support them since I can find them locally. Buddy LOVES his new Submarine and it appears that Santa will be bringing him the new Seaplane for Christmas too! :) I definitely recommend adding Green Toys to your child's Christmas list this year!
